Joey Barton has made a bold prediction for tonight’s Premier League game between Newcastle and Burnley at Turf Moor.
Sean Dyche’s side have only won one home game this season, but Barton, who played for both teams, has predicted they will edge a close game by a single goal.
Barton was responding to a fan who asked for his prediction on his official Twitter account.
Be a tight game, I think Burnley by a goal. Both sides going well. https://t.co/lS6uoFh9ky

Barton was released by Burnley earlier this year after being banned from football for 18 months after admitting an FA charge in relation to betting.
He helped the Clarets to the Championship title in 2015/16 and made over 80 appearances for Newcastle between 2007 and 2011.
The Magpies are unbeaten in their last three games, after last Saturday’s 1-0 win at Crystal Palace, but are without a win in their last eight league meetings with Burnley.
Rafa Benitez’s side will move into sixth place in the Premier League table with victory, but will be overtaken by their opponents with defeat.
Burnley are only one point behind Newcastle and a two-goal victory tonight can take them above Liverpool into sixth place.
Newcastle have failed to win in each of their last four visits to Turf Moor, losing three and drawing one.
In other Newcastle news, this 27-year-old will return to the squad for tonight’s game.
