Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has reportedly made contact with Liverpool over bringing 21-year-old forward Harry Wilson to Ibrox on loan – and Gers fans are relishing the thought of seeing him at Ibrox next term.

The Scottish Sun report that Gerrard has singled out Wilson as someone he wants to bring to Ibrox as part of his Rangers revolution after working with him in Liverpool’s Academy.

Wilson spent the second-half of the season on loan with Hull City, hitting the net seven times in thirteen appearances, and the chance of more regular first-team football would likely appeal.

Gers fans are delighted at the prospect of getting the Liverpool youngster to Ibrox – with one fan saying he is a “better player” than Celtic’s cult hero Patrick Roberts.

Here are some of their comments on Twitter:

The Light Blues have already signed Scott Arfield, Allan McGregor and Jamie Murphy ahead of Gerrard officially taking the reins on June 1st as the Gers look to end Celtic’s recent dominance of the Scottish game.

With a huge overhaul of players expected this summer, Wilson likely won’t be the last name linked with a move from Liverpool to Rangers over the coming weeks as Gerrard takes his first steps in management with the Ibrox giants.
