Bruno Guimaraes sends stunned message to Newcastle wonderkid Lewis Miley
Newcastle star Bruno Guimaraes has sent a message to his young teammate Lewis Miley after their 3-1 victory over Bromley in the FA Cup.
Miley scored the Magpies’ equaliser, and his first of the season, after 16 minutes on 12 January, after League Two side Bromley had taken a surprise lead through Cameron Congreve.
Newcastle then took the lead after Matt Targett was brought down in the penalty area, Anthony Gordon comfortable dispatched his effort from 12-yards-out.
William Osula made it 3-1 to the Magpies, dispatching an effort that was set up for him by Guimaraes.
The Brazilian began the game on the bench but was brought on just after half-time, Guimaraes has started all 20 of Newcastle’s league games this season.

Miley has been used sparingly this season by Newcastle boss, Eddie Howe, the 18-year-old featured 17 times in the league last year, but has only played 11 minutes of Premier League football this year.
The England U21 international made the most of his opportunity in the FA Cup by scoring for the Magpies and registering a Man-of-the-Match performance.
His great performance was recognised by Guimaraes, with the midfielder posting on his Instagram story saying “WHAT A PLAYER” to the youngster.

The Brazilian international may not be teammates with Miley for much longer, having been linked with a move to Manchester City in the January transfer window.
Newcastle fans will be desperate to hold onto their talismanic midfielder, he is not the only Newcastle star linked with an exit this January, as the Magpies desperately try and convince Alexander Isak to sign a new contract despite interest from Arsenal.
Newcastle’s next game is against struggling Wolves, the Magpies will be looking to extend their winning run in the league to six games with a win over the Midlands side.
In other news, Keith Wyness has given an update about Newcastle’s transfer plans this January.
