Matt Crooks joined Rangers last summer alongside Josh Windass but failed to make any impact.

Arriving injured didn’t help the 6’4″ Crooks’ cause any, however when he did get an opportunity he looked completely out his depth.

His debut in the 4-2 thumping from Hearts did nothing to win over fans either.

A loan move to Scunthorpe in the second-half of the season gave him a chance to put himself in the shop window before moving to Northampton Town this summer.
