Halliday lived every Rangers fans’ dream when he signed for his boyhood club in 2014 but by 2017, the former Bradford midfielder had fallen from grace at Ibrox.

Struggling to make the team under Caixinha it was widely expected Halliday would move on this summer but his desitnation surprised everyone.

A season-long loan with Kazakh’s Qabala gives Halliday the chance to go away and try earn himself a reprieve under Caixinha at Rangers.

Despite being much-maligned by supporters, Halliday undoubtedly tries hard but it’s difficult to see him winning back a place at Ibrox in the future.
