Pedro Caixinha has claimed that Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has merely scratched the surface of his immense potential after taking his goals tally to seven for the season in yesterday’s 4-1 win over Dundee, according to his manager Pedro Caixinha.
The Colombian forward has scored doubles in both of his last two games as he targets 25-plus for the campaign.
Caixinha revealed that Morelos is aiming to continue his goalscoring form as well as improving his overall play, and also explained how he will continue to rapidly improve.
Speaking at his post-match media conference following yesterday’s 4-1 win over Dundee, as quoted by the Evening Times, Caixinha was asked if Morelos was capable of hitting 25 goals this term, replying: “So far he has five in the league. It’s early in the season but I know that he wants that.
“We are working with him. He’s a young boy. He’s keen to learn and always listens.

“He is getting his English better to understand the others. I can speak Spanish, so it’s easy for me to communicate with him and let him understand what we want.
“So give him time to learn and build his confidence. He has the tools.
“He’s a goalscorer, definitely, but we want more from him. We will help him get better like we help all the players.”
Morelos has scored seven in eight appearances for Rangers since his £1million move from HJK Helsinki where he scored an incredible 46 goals in 62 games.
Despite only being in early September, Morelos is only two goals short of equalling Joe Garner’s tally for the entire of last season.
The 21-year-old is quickly becoming a fan favourite amongst Rangers fans with a series of impressive displays and fans are hopeful the powerful forward can keep up his goal-scoring exploits as Pedro Caixinha’s side aim to stop Celtic securing a seventh successive Scottish title.
Yesterday’s win over Dundee leaves Rangers four points off leaders Celtic wit the sides meeting for the first time this season on September 23rd.
In other Rangers news, Pedro Caixinha raved about this 21-year-old’s performance against Dundee.
