Kevin Campbell has tipped Peterborough striker Jonson Clarke-Harris to show his worth to Rangers scouts during a triple transfer mission.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Arsenal and Everton forward claimed the 26-year-old will be unfazed by the Glasgow giants coveting his name ahead of the summer transfer window.

Clarke-Harris has been in sensational form this season, with 31 goals in his 46 appearances across all competitions.

Football Insider revealed on Tuesday that the Gers’ recruitment team will run the rule over the striker in Peterborough’s final three league matches of the season.

Rangers are assessing potential striker targets ahead of the summer in case they need to replace Alfredo Morelos.

When asked by Football Insider if Clarke-Harris would likely be fazed knowing the 2020-21 Scottish champions were watching him, Campbell said:

“It is a little added incentive for Clarke-Harris to do well if he knows Rangers are watching him.

“Sometimes in football you know and sometimes you don’t but at the end of the day when you play for your club you have to perform anyway.

“It is important to concentrate on matters on the pitch and if you look after that the other clubs will take you.

“It is definitely not a negative that he knows Rangers are watching. It is a positive and I expect him to continue performing in the same vein he has been all season.”
