Campbell suggests El Ghazi is unhappy after 'surprise' Aston Villa transfer reveal
Kevin Campbell has suggested Anwar El Ghazi could grow unhappy if he stays at Aston Villa this season.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Arsenal suggested a move away from the Midlands would be best for both parties.
As revealed by Football Insider on Wednesday (11th August), Villa are willing to sell El Ghazi for £17million amid interest from Roma.
It is understood that manager Dean Smith is looking to streamline his squad following the summer arrivals of Danny Ings, Axel Tuanzebe, Emi Buendia and Leon Bailey.
The arrivals of Bailey and Buendia further complicate El Ghazi‘s bid for regular first-team football.
Campbell suggested the Netherlands international could grow frustrated with a lack of regular football.

As such, he claimed a move could be in the best interests of everyone.
“I’m a bit surprised that Villa are letting him go,” he told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs.
“But then again, he only really managed to play last season when Jack Grealish was injured.
“El Ghazi is a hot and cold player. When he is hot, he is hot – but when he’s cold, he’s freezing.
“Villa need consistency if they are to go to the next level without Grealish.
“They’ve now got a couple of replacements in for Grealish. If El Ghazi doesn’t start he isn’t going to be happy, so I think a deal would be best for both parties.”
The 26-year-old notched 10 Premier League goals in 28 games last season.
