Rangers travel to face Hamilton of Friday night and Bluenoses want Fabio Cardoso axed if Bruno Alves is fit to return from injury.
Alves missed last weekend’s Old Firm clash with Celtic after picking up a calf strain, however manager Pedro Caixinha is hopeful the veteran defender will be given the all-clear for the trip to the SuperSeal Stadium.
Cardoso, who has started all of Rangers’ league matches this season, has come in for some flak from fans after some haphzard displays – including a woeful fresh air swipe leading to Celtic’s opener on Saturday.
The Portuguese defender, 23, has been inconsistent since his summer move from Vitoria Setubal but it appears Rangers fans have seen enough.
19-year-old Ross McCrorie replaced Alves against Brendan Rodgers’ side and Rangers fans would like to see the Rangers Academy product continue in the starting XI.
Here are some of their comments on Twitter:
I'd drop Cardoso befor McCrorie

He's a very mature defender for his age, He deserves to keep his place. Alves hasn't done to much wrong so I'd drop cardoso or play 3 CBs

McCrorie was a standout last season in Graeme Murty’s Under-20 side as they reached the Scottish FA Youth Cup final and has been tipped as the “future” of club and country by Pedro Caixinha.
The 19-year-old looked composed in possession and done well against Celtic’s forwards despite his inexperience.
McCrorie spent the second-half of last season on loan at Championship side Dumbarton and earned rave reviews from Sons fans.
Despite this, former Rangers boss Mark Warburton didn’t rate McCrorie’s chances of making it as a central defender and pushed him out to right-back to accommodate David Bates in the club’s Development Squad.
