Celtic 26-year-old in form of his life, but Rodgers must get rid in brutal summer clear-out
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has to be brutal in the summer and clear out some of the unneeded players who are simply just a burden on he wage bill at Parkhead.
There are many players that fans have not seen play for the Hoops in quite a while who need binning off in order to make a quick buck or cut losses, and one of them has to be Scott Allan – even though the midfielder is in the form of his life.
Allan has been out on loan at both Dundee and Hibernian this term and must surely be turning some heads at Parkhead with his form.
He has made 28 appearances in all competitions for both the Dee and Hibs, scoring two goals and supplying an impressive 12 assists.
Since moving to Hibs in January when Scott Bain arrived at Celtic Park on loan, Neil Lennon’s side is yet to lose a single game with him on the pitch with him scoring in the Edinburgh derby against Hearts earlier this month.

Allan signed for Celtic in 2015 but has only played 17 times for them in almost three years.
He will still have another year left on his deal at Parkhead but rather than letting him go for free in a years’ time, Rodgers must be brutal and bin him off as soon as possible in order to make some money.
Allan’s form on loan does not warrant him being offloaded, but he would be nowhere near the Hoops first-team should be remain in Glasgow’s East End after the summer transfer window slams shut.
The midfielder probably won’t be short of suitors either and it’s likely that Lennon will want him permanently.
In other Celtic news, this Rodgers outcast is facing a make-or-break week that could decide his Parkhead future.
