Celtic fans react on Twitter after reported £9m bid for Rangers player

Rangers have rejected a £9million bid for Colombian striker Alfredo Morelos, according to a report, and Celtic fans think it is completely made up to deflect from their Europa League win over Zenit St. Petersburg.
According to the Scottish Sun, Beijing Renhe have returned with a fresh bid for the 21-year-old striker who currently tops the goalscoring charts in the Scottish Premiership.
The Chinese transfer window is open until the end of February but it’s unlikely Rangers will sell without being able to bring a replacement in,
As news of the bid broke, Celtic fans quickly smelled a rat and cried foul over the reported bid – with one fan calling it “fake news.”
Here are some of their comments on Twitter:

Morelos recently smashed through Colombian icon Faustino Asprilla’s goal-scoring record for a Colombian based in Europe and has emerged as a shock contender for this summer’s World Cup squad.
Despite Celtic fans’ protestations that the bid is a creation to divert attention from them, BBC Scotland’s Kheredine Idessane was forced to confirm on Twitter he had seen previous bids after originally reporting they were false.
Morelos has scored 15 times in 30 appearances since arriving at Ibrox in a £1million deal last summer from HJK Helsinki.
In other Rangers news, a stunning £50,000-a-week deal is on offer to a Light Blues first teamer in game-changing development.
