Celtic early team news: Rodgers set for wholesale changes v Kilmarnock - report

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is set to change half of his outfield team for the Betfred Cup game against Kilmarnock on Tuesday evening, according to a report.
The Scottish Sun claim that Celtic are set to name a heavily changed line-up from their opening Premiership game against Hearts on Saturday.
They name a number of players who didn’t play or came on as subs against Hearts as likely to start as Celtic look to defend the cup.
The report that Kouassi Eboue, Anthony Ralston, Stuart Armstrong, Tom Rogic and Jonny Hayes could all feature in the starting XI.
Kilmarnock opened their new Premiership campaign with a defeat at home to St Johnstone on Saturday, and finished in the bottom half of the table last season.

Celtic thumped them three times in the league last season, with a heavy 6-1 victory among their best performances of the season.
Rodgers, the players and fans alike will all expect to get through the cup game without any problems, although every domestic game is important for Celtic as they go in search of a historic back-to-back treble.
However, with Champions League football demanding more from the squad it’s important that Rodgers gets the balance right, resting first-team players where he can.
