Chelsea Ladies manager Emma Hayes has criticised Moussa Sissoko after a Tottenham fan asked how she would improve him if she was his manager.
On talkSPORT (Wednesday 12:55), the current Chelsea Ladies boss spoke on the Spurs midfielder and, despite labelling him one of the “world’s best tournament players”, didn’t believe he was right for Tottenham.
“Yes I think he has been a productive player this season, improving but I don’t think he’s a Tottenham player personally,” Hayes revealed before adding, “somewhere in the French league would suit him.”
The midfielder has played 19 times across all competitions for Spurs this season, scoring two goals and grabbing one assist in his outings.
The 28-year-old came in for heavy criticism from fans for his role in Tottenham’s 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday.
However despite his most recent performance, his form has improved drastically since last season, with fans praising the midfielder on occasions and the player himself revealing this season has been better for him.
Last season, after being signed for £30 million from Newcastle, the midfielder made 20 appearances across all competitions and only scored two goals, which means he has already equaled his goal tally this season.
The midfielder’s improved performance have helped Spurs sit fifth in the Premier League with 24 points from 14 games.
The 28-year-old could next be in action for Tottenham, if selected, when Spurs travel to play Watford on Saturday.
