Clark’s Newcastle ‘career is over’ – Kenny
Ciaran Clark should have trusted Martin Dubrvaka to make a save after he was sent off as Newcastle drew with Norwich.
That’s according to former Leeds stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider after the defender’s “reckless” act.
Clark, 32, was sent off after just nine minutes as Newcastle were held to a 1-1 draw by Norwich on Tuesday (30 November).

He pulled back Teemu Pukki as he broke through on goal, following his own mistake.
Kenny insists Clark’s dismissal was the last thing Newcastle needed and predicted his time at St James’ Park may be over.
“That was the last thing Newcastle needed,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“Look at the position they are in. If they were winning 1-0 with 10 minutes to go, I would understand.
“But this was 0-0 after 10 minutes. You have to leave him and trust your goalkeeper.
“With 11 against 11, even at 1-0 down, you would back Newcastle to win that game.
“It made things so difficult and I’m sure he’s had a proper telling off for it.
“When you are in a relegation fight, I’m sorry, you just don’t do that. It was reckless.
“I would be very surprised if he comes back from that at Newcastle. It’s not helping them stay up. His career at the club’s over now.”

Newcastle remain bottom of the Premier League and winless after 14 games.
They are next in action against Burnley on Saturday afternoon and have already lost to the side in the Carabao Cup this season.
