Clint Hill: This Rangers 25-year-old was fantastic against Inverness
By Harvey Byrne
Clint Hill has hailed goalkeeper Wes Foderingham for his “fantastic” display against Inverness on Saturday afternoon.
The Gers hosted the Jags at Ibrox for the Christmas Eve meeting, which saw Rangers pick up a home win in a 1-0 victory.
Striker Martyn Waghorn’s first half strike proved decisive in the meeting with the Scottish giants unable to work too many opportunities in the Premiership clash.
It meant that Foderingham, 25, had to ensure a clean sheet for his side to win all three points and the experienced Hill was full of praise for the man between the sticks.
“Wes did well,” told Hill to the official Rangers website. “He pulled off a couple of good saves at crucial moments for us, and that’s fantastic for him and fantastic for us. We do need the keeper to be just that and he was fantastic today.”

Foderingham has played 21 times for the Gers this campaign, keeping nine clean sheets, while also conceding just 18.
He has been one of the key parts of Mark Warburton’s team, who are sat in second place, seven points clear of nearest competitors Aberdeen.
It looks like Rangers are going to finish in the top two of the Scottish Premiership for the first time since 2012 and their next target will be to make up the distance on fierce Glasgow rivals Celtic, who sit 14 points clear at the top.
