'Concerning', 'Seems a bit odd' - Tottenham fans share worries as starlet misses Hong Kong trip
By Harvey Byrne
Tottenham fans on Twitter have shared their worries after the club didn’t name young starlet Marcus Edwards in their squad which travels to Hong Kong.
The north London club confirmed their travelling squad via their official Twitter account on Monday morning.
It was noticeable that first team duo Mousa Dembele and Kyle Walker were missing from the 22-man team, while rookies Luke Amos, Filip Lesniak, Pau Lopez, Will Miller and Kazaiah Sterling were all included.

However, another name Spurs fans noticed was not in the list was promising youngster Edwards.
The 18-year-old right-winger missed the Under-23s’ final match against Manchester United earlier in the month with what many considered to be an injury.

But, it was only in March 2016 that the Guardian were reporting that the young teen was in a contract stand-off with the club.
He has since agreed a new deal with Tottenham taking him up to the summer of 2018, but that has not stopped fans feeling anxious when he is a noticeable omission.
A number of supporters on social media questioned where he was with no official confirmation from the club that he is injured, while others expressed their sadness that they couldn’t see him in a club shirt against Hong Kong champions Kitchee SC.
Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:

@thfcacademy Hello. Do you know why Marcus Edwards hasn't travelled with the squad to Hong Kong? Is he injured? It seems a bit odd.

Edwards is one of Tottenham’s brightest talents and he was handed his first team debut and only appearance to date back in September in a 16-minute came against Gillingham in the EFL Cup.
Fans will now be hoping the three-time capped England Under-19 international is just injured as they are all keen to see him become a regular feature in the senior team.
