Confirmed Leeds line-up v Newcastle: One change as 27-year-old returns
By Will Butcher
Garry Monk has made just one change to his Leeds starting eleven to face Newcastle on Friday evening at St. James’ Park.
Captain Liam Bridcutt returns to the side after recovering from an achilles problem, which saw him miss the 3-0 win over Preston last time out following his withdrawal against Brentford.
The 27-year-old comes in for teenage star Ronaldo Vieira in the middle of the park, partnering academy product Kalvin Phillips against the Toon.
Leeds announced Monk’s starting eleven on their official Twitter account.

Rob Green will be desperate to avoid a repeat of his blunder that gifted Dwight Gayle the first of his brace last time out against the Toon in between the sticks.
Luke Ayling, Pontus Jansson, Kyle Bartley and Gaetano Berardi combine for the third consecutive match, with Phillips and Bridcutt teaming up in front of the defence.
Pablo Hernandez starred against Preston with his fifth goal of the season, after a stuttering period of form and he will be partnered by Alfonso Pedraza and Kemar Roofe in attacking midfield.
The trio will look to supply ammunition to Chris Wood, who has failed to add to his 27 goals in his last three outings.
In a match that will come as vital to both sides, Leeds will be desperate for three points after play-off rivals Huddersfield, Sheffield Wednesday and Fulham all gained victory on Friday.
