'You couldn't make this up' – Expert reveals why Pennington not in squad for Leeds v Hull

Matthew Pennington is injured and that is why he’s not in the Leeds squad to play Hull in the Championship on Tuesday night, according to a reliable journalist.
Phil Hay from the Yorkshire Evening Post revealed what had happened in a tweet ahead of the 7.45pm kick-off saying, “You couldn’t make this up but Matthew Pennington is injured.”

He went on to say that Tom Pearce is on the bench “in the absence of half the world.”
Leeds have a crisis at the moment, with stars like Samu Saiz and Liam Cooper suspended, and Luke Ayling suffering from a long-term injury.
Striker Caleb Ekuban is also out injured for at least another week.
The Leeds line-up was announced on the official club Twitter page ahead of the 7.45pm kick-off.

Leeds desperately need a win after a string of poor results has seen them flop outside of the play-off spots in the Championship.
In other Leeds United transfer news, it has been reported that the Whites are on the verge of securing this Arsenal keeper.
