Dom Solanke and Wan-Bissaka react to Callum Hudson-Odoi’s Nottingham Forest message
Callum Hudson-Odoi has reflected on a season which saw Nottingham Forest reach new heights in the Premier League.
Nuno Espirito Santo‘s side were early candidates for a relegation battle this term, but quickly began to defy all expectations in a campaign which has ended with European qualification secured for Forest.
The Reds’ qualification for the UEFA Conference League was tinged with disappointment after they spent most of the season inside the Champions League places, but is still a remarkable achievement.
A late-season slump saw Forest lost four of their last eight games and miss out on Champions League football after a final-day defeat by Chelsea, but an exciting summer lies ahead for Nuno and his players.

Hudson-Odoi sends three-word Nottingham Forest message
Several members of Forest’s squad have become household Premier League names this term, with Morgan Gibbs-White a player of interest to Champions League-bound sides like Arsenal and Man City.
Gibbs-White’s combination with top scorer Chris Wood up front has received plenty of praise, as has the link-up play provided by Forest’s lightning duo of Anthony Elanga and Callum Hudson-Odoi out wide.
Hudson-Odoi has rebuilt his Premier League reputation since his move to the City Ground in 2023, with five goals and three assists in 31 appearances before injuries curtailed the final weeks of his campaign.
The 24-year-old took to Instagram (2 June) with a selection of images from Forest’s breakout season, accompanied by the message of: “The Last Months”.
Both Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Dominic Solanke liked Hudson-Odoi’s post, after all three were left out of Thomas Tuchel’s latest England squad despite their strong form this season.
Nottingham Forest keen to secure Hudson-Odoi future
Although Forest could be consigned to losing their star man Gibbs-White after failing to reach the Champions League, Nuno will be confident that Hudson-Odoi is one player who will stay put.
Former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider in April that Forest are keen to open new contract talks with Hudson-Odoi at the end of the season, and that time is now upon them.
With a move for Brentford striker Yoane Wissa already lined up ahead of their European campaign, Forest will waste no time in providing attacking reinforcements for Hudson-Odoi and Elanga to combine with.
