Done deal: Another new Leeds signing as Christiansen revolution continues

By Harry Sykes

An exciting summer for Leeds fans shows no signs of abating as Leeds announced their ninth signing of the window on Thursday.

The news that Macedonia international Ezgjan Alioski had become the latest signing for Thomas Christiansen was announced on the official Leeds Twitter page.

In the accompanying video, Alioski shows he’s already up to speed with the Leeds motto as he taps his chest and says, “MOT”.

Alioski enjoyed a solid season for former club FC Luagno last season as he made 36 appearances in the Swiss Super League, scoring 16 goals and providing 14 assists.

The 25-year-old forward Alioski signed on a four-year deal and joins Samuel Saiz, Vurnon Anita, Caleb Ekuban, Madger Gomes, Pontus Jansson, Matuesz Klich, Hadi Sacko and Felix Wiedwald in teaming up at Elland Road.

The new arrivals will make for another exciting season after Leeds narrowly missed out on the play-offs under Garry Monk last campaign.

Leeds were in the top six for the majority of the season but were pipped into seventh by Fulham after an untimely slump at the tail end of the season.

In other Leeds transfer news, these Champions League regulars have already had their chief executive open talks with the Whites for this key senior player.
