Done deal: Nottingham Forest confirm arrival of top-flight enforcer after paperwork finalised

Nottingham Forest have confirmed the signing of Sporting Lisbon defender Tobias Figueiredo on Tuesday after finalising paperwork, according to the club.
Forest announced the deal on their club’s official Twitter page and website, that the Portuguese enforcer would be joining them in a loan deal until the end of the season.

And Figueiredo comes with Champions League experience after featuring for the Portuguese giants during their European outings this season.
The news comes as a massive boost for the club and just in the nick of time ahead of the transfer deadline for the Championship side who have shipped goals this season – 43 to be precise.
But with the Sporting defender, who can also be used in the midfield now in their ranks, Karanka will aim to shut out Championship attackers.
It is unlikely that Forest supporters will see their new signing in action until the weekend when Forest head to the capital to take on a Fulham side who have won their last four league matches.
Karanka’s business may not be finished yet as the club continue to be interested in Costel Pantilimon, the Deportivo La Coruna goalkeeper as well as former Wolfsburg winger Ashkan Dejagah according to a number of reports in the Mail.
