Bury have confirmed that they have signed Newcastle striker Tom Heardman on a season-long loan.
The news was announced on Bury’s official twitter page and on their website, where it was announced that Heardman was joining in search of experience and game-time.
It was also claimed that Benitez considers the striker to be a great potential for the future and was rewarded with a new contract at the end of last season.

21-year-old Heardman is a product of the Newcastle youth system and has made two loan moves before, to Gateshead and Hartlepool.
He hasn’t made a senior appearance for Newcastle yet, but performed well in Premier League 2 last season where he scored six goals in 13 appearances and one in two PL2 play-off games.
Heardman will be hoping to impress for Bury, with his contract set to run out at St James’ Park next summer.
In other Newcastle transfer news, the Magpies are favourites to sign this 26-year-old midfielder with Premier League experience.
