Tottenham have still not given up hope of completing a stunning deadline day swoop for Saido Berahino after loaning Alex Pritchard to West Brom, Football Insider sources understand.

Spurs have reached an agreement with the Midlands club for England Under-21 international Pritchard to move on loan until the end of the season.

A Tottenham source has told Football Insider that Pritchard has been allowed to join West Brom partly to smooth negotiations between the two clubs over Berahino.

Spurs are preparing to take the £25million deadline day fight for the striker down to the wire despite claims from the Hawthorns that he is not for sale.
