Elliot Anderson is ‘collateral damage’ in Newcastle ‘nightmare’ – fans react

Newcastle United fans have admitted being “disappointed” about selling Elliot Anderson after he was named Nottingham Forest’s Player of the Month for August.

The 21-year-old midfielder departed St James Park for Forest in July for a fee of £35million, and he’s quickly settled into life at the City Ground.

Anderson signed a five-year deal with Forest, and he’s immediately been showcasing his quality for Nuno Espirito Santo.

The midfielder has featured in all four of Forest’s games this season in all competitions, providing one assist.

Newcastle had to sell him to offset PSR and to ensure the club didn’t receive a points deduction.

He and Yankuba Minteh were both let go for this reason, and it’s something that has left Newcastle fans frustrated.

Newcastle United fans are wishing Elliot Anderson the best moving forward

Anderson received Forest’s Player of the Month award due to his impressive start at his new club, where he’s been given the chance to showcase his qualities.

It reminded Magpies fans of their frustration over this deal, even though they wish the player the best moving forward.
