'Laughing stock' - Celtic fans react as Rangers make reported Morelos decision

Celtic fans on Twitter have reacted with a mixture of bemusement and hilarity to reports that Rangers decided to reject another bid from China for star striker Alfredo Morelos.

The Scottish Sun claimed that the Light Blues turned down a fifth bid of £9.5million from Beijing Renhe before the Chinese transfer window closed.

That didn’t cut any ice with Hoops fans though, as many who haven’t believed any of the reports about Morelos got tore into this one, with one fan claiming that the story was “fake news”.

Here are some of the best reactions from Twitter to the report about the 17 goal striker:

Morelos has been a big success for the Gers this season, and his 17 goals so far this season have spearheaded an unlikely late tilt at the title.

In other news, the arctic weather conditions that have gripped Scotland have had an affect on football, as the Bhoys’ match against Dundee on Wednesday night, with no news as yet of a rescheduled date.

Unless the weather dramatically improves, there will be doubts about the weekend’s Scottish Cup quarter-finals going ahead, with Celtic due to face Morton on Saturday and Rangers playing Falkirk on Sunday.

Hopefully things will have improved by the time of the Old Firm derby a week on Sunday.

In other Celtic news, if the game goes ahead Charly Musonda should start against Morton
