Ex-manager issues 'nightmare' Celtic verdict after 'unsettling' Lennon claim
Alex McLeish has admitted the prospect of losing five Celtic stars this summer would be a “nightmare” for Ange Postecoglou.
The former Scotland manager, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, suggested the new Hoops boss may have some “unrest” to deal with among the squad.
Speaking to talkSPORT on Tuesday (June 23rd), ex-Celtic manager Neil Lennon claimed “four or five” players were angling for moves out of Parkhead this summer.
As revealed by Football Insider back in April, star striker Odsonne Edouard is among those looking for a move.
Meanwhile, Kristoffer Ajer confirmed earlier in June he wanted to leave Parkhead.
However, with Lennon claiming three more players could want out, McLeish admitted Postecoglou faced an “unsettling” start.

McLeish told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “That’d be a nightmare. That would be your nightmare.
“I guess, Postecoglou may have one or two names of his own he will be able to trust when they go on that field. But to have unrest…
“I mean during my Aberdeen days there was a couple of times I was linked to English teams. I thought about it but you soon get rid of those thoughts in your head. You get stuck in again.
“As soon as the season starts and the Celtic players who may want to leave that don’t leave will take in in their stride. They’ll fight for the club again.
“But at the moment, it’s a little bit unsettling.”
Both Edouard and Ajer are heading into the final year of their contracts at Parkhead.
Attacking midfielder Ryan Christie is another senior star who will be out of contract in 2022.
