Pundit blasts 'embarrassing' Tottenham after Kane update
Frank McAvennie has labelled Harry Kane’s potential Tottenham exit as a “soap opera” amid the latest on his future.
The former West Ham hitman, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, told the club and player to “get on with it” after a lack of bids from interested clubs.
According to The Athletic (July 24th), senior figures at Spurs are confident Kane will still be at the club when the transfer window shuts.
On 29th April, this site revealed Kane has told friends he is “hell bent” on leaving Spurs this summer.
The England captain has let it be known he wants to leave the club but the only bid for his services came from Man City last month.
McAvennie called the entire situation “embarrassing” and insisted the striker has not been subject to any kind of transfer saga.

“The Kane thing, my god, that’s dragging on now. It’s a soap opera,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“He’s going to Man United, he’s going to Chelsea he’s going to Man City.
“Actually no, he’s at Tottenham. Nothing’s happened, it’s embarrassing.
“I wish he would get on with it. What’s happened? One rejected bid. That’s not a ‘transfer saga’ or whatever it’s being billed as.
“The season is right around the corner and you would think Spurs would be less inclined to let him leave now as they won’t have time to replace him.
“It’s ridiculous honestly, get on with it.”
Kane finished the Premier League season with more goals and assists than any other player.
He scored 23 goals and registered 14 assists in 35 league outings.
