Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak is being monitored by several top Premier League and European teams after Arsenal pulled the plug on their pursuit, sources have told Football Insider.
Isak is reportedly concerned about the club’s direction, which has raised question marks over his long-term future.
Several top Premier League teams and clubs across Europe monitoring what’s happening with Isak, although the Magpies are relaxed about the situation.
Arsenal have been among those heavily linked with Isak but it is believed they did not pursue him during the summer window.
Newcastle aren’t overly concerned about the situation as the Sweden international has a contract running until 2028.
Well-placed sources have told Football Insider that dialogue between the club and Isak’s representatives remains open regarding a potential new contract.

Isak is under contract until June 2028, but the main focus for the club is on getting him back playing regularly after some early-season fitness issues.
The striker has scored twice and provided one assist in eight appearances in all competitions for the Magpies this season.
