Exclusive: Danny Mills frets amid big update on 'sensational' Leeds talent
Leeds United will have a “big void” to fill if Ben White leaves this summer, according to Danny Mills.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Elland Road full-back claimed that the Brighton loanee has had a “sensational” season for the Whites, and will be badly missed when he returns to this parent club.
The 22-year-old has played in all 45 of Leeds’ Championship outings this term, and has established himself as a firm favourite among supporters.
But Brighton manager Graham Potter has made it very clear that he intends to take the player back to the south coast ahead of the new league campaign.
And Mills has made it equally clear how much of a blow that would be for the Whites.
Speaking to Football Insider, he said: “Ben White has been sensational this season, but he’s not a Leeds player.

“If Brighton want him back, or if Brighton want to sell him to someone else, that might be a bit of an issue.
“That would leave a large gap and a big void to fill. That has to be addressed.
“I also think they need another centre-half even if Ben White stays as cover for him and Liam Cooper. They look a little bit weaker in that area, once you lose one of those players.”
Leeds chief executive Angus Kinnear admitted over the weekend that the Whites face a big battle if they are to secure any kind of swoop for the defender.
As revealed by Football Insider, however, Leeds have not given up hope of re-signing the player this summer, and believe that his relationship with Marcelo Bielsa and his contentment in the dressing room could prove to be factors in securing his services.
In other Leeds United news, it can be REVEALED that a £5million bid has been accepted for £5m Elland Road target.
