Exclusive: Celtic starlet '100%' in touch with ex-Bhoy over transfer - pundit claim
Alan Hutton claims that Celtic starlet Barry Hepburn will “100 per cent” be in touch with ex-Hoops youngster Liam Morrison over a prospective move to Bayern Munich.
The former Rangers and Scotland defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, believes the 16-year-old will be looking to get the inside track on life in Germany ahead of a potential transfer.
He is set to follow in the footsteps of fellow academy product Morrison, who swapped Glasgow for Munich last summer.
Hutton believes that Hepburn will have been in close contact with the 17-year-old, insisting that he will be looking to get an insight into what playing for Bayern is like.
Asked if the young duo would be on the phone to each other, Hutton told Football Insider: “Oh, 100 per cent. If I knew a player that was over at Bayern and they were interested in me, it would be the first port of call for me.

“‘What’s it like over there, what’s life like, what’s the football like, what’s the team like?’ You can literally get a head start. You’d know everything before you even got there, you’re going in with your eyes open.
“You know what it’s all about, what they ask of you, what they want and then you can make a decision. I’m pretty sure they’d be in contact and speaking about it, going over the pluses and minuses.
“It’s a great opportunity, you can never really stand in the way of someone progressing and going to such a big team.”
Celtic are set to receive a minimal compensation fee for Hepburn’s training and development costs due to FIFA’s cross-border rules.
The teenager is still on a youth contract at Parkhead despite being eligible for a professional deal since his 16th birthday at the start of March.
