Exclusive: Nottingham Forest plot permanent Evan Ferguson deal
Nottingham Forest are plotting a January bid for Brighton striker sensation Evan Ferguson, sources have told Football Insider.
It is believed the Midlands club are keen on a permanent deal for the 20-year-old.
Football Insider revealed last month (22 November) that Ferguson wants to leave Brighton in the January transfer window.
The Republic of Ireland international is unhappy at his lack of game time in the 2024-25 campaign under new boss Fabian Hurzeler.
Sources have also told Football Insider (25 November) that Fulham and Leicester City are keen to sign Ferguson on loan in the new year.
Meanwhile, West Ham are also keeping tabs on his situation at Brighton ahead of the January transfer window.
Hurzeler publicly shut down a potential exit in January for Ferguson with his comments in recent days but the race for his signature is hotting up behind the scenes.

The striker signed a six-year Brighton deal last year but has started for the Seagulls just once in the Premier League this season.
He has hit one goal in 10 club appearances this term – and has played more regularly for Ireland in the Nations League since his return from injury in the early weeks of the season.

Nottingham Forest currently have Chris Wood, Taiwo Awoniyi and Emmanuel Dennis to call on up front.
Wood leads the scoring charts for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side with nine goals from 13 Premier League appearances this term.
