Sheffield Wednesday have sealed the loan signing of Newcastle winger Jacob Murphy, Football Insider understands.
The Owls have beaten off interest from a number of clubs to land Murphy on a season-long loan deal.
A source close to Sheffield Wednesday has told Football Insider that Murphy has passed a medical at Hillsborough and has signed in time before the 5pm transfer deadline.
Newcastle were happy to loan out Murphy as he is likely to find his first-team chances under Steve Bruce limited.
Murphy spent the second half of last season on loan at West Brom, helping them reach the Championship play-off semi-finals, scoring two goals in 13 appearances for the Baggies.
The 24-year-old signed for Newcastle for £10million from Norwich in the summer of 2017.
At Carrow Road he scored nine goals and provided nine assists in 43 games, and Murphy has also featured for the England Under-21 side.
