'One gem in a disaster of a season' – Rangers fans drool over one star after 1-1 v Aberdeen
Rangers kept alive their hopes of a second place finish in the Premiership with a battling 1-1 draw with Aberdeen on Tuesday night, and fans are signing the praises of youngster Ross McCrorie.
Kenny McLean gave the home side the lead from the penalty spot in the 14th minute and that was the only goal in the first 45 minutes.
Rangers fought back after the break and a header from Ross McCrorie headed the equaliser that could still see his side finish one place below below Celtic in the table.
Caretaker manager Jimmy Nicholl had said it was a must-win before the game, but this draw still gives Rangers hope.
They’re currently one point behind Aberdeen in third, while Hibs are three points back in fourth with a game in hand.
Hibs play Hearts tomorrow night before the end-of-season finale against Rangers at the weekend that will sort out the European places.

It wasn’t a vintage performance from Rangers tonight but one player soared head and shoulders above his teammates – and Rangers fans flocked onto Twitter to rave about the performance of 20-year-old Ross McCrorie.
He scored the vital goal but it was his overall performance from midfield that had Rangers fans singing his praises and fans want to see him playing there next season.
Here are the best reactions from Rangers fans:
Dear Mr Gerrard,
Keep Ross McCrorie, make him captain, play him in midfield.
Do as you please with rest of the team who started.
End of story.

Said after 1st half I didn't want any in blue in our starting XI next season. Wee McCrorie grabbed that game by the scruff of the neck 2nd half & was reason for the turnaround. I was wrong. I'd keep him. Back to his CDM performance away at Celtic Park in that 2nd half there.

The boy is knackered. His strength holding the ball up is superb. A good rest in the summer and he'll be flying next season. Team should be shaped round him and McCrorie next season

Thought McCrorie was outstanding second half especially

No McCrorie and no Morelos on Sunday. Two guys who actually gave their all tonight. We are gonna struggle on Sunday. 4th place sounds fun.

Yet another pathetic refereeing decision gone against us that will be completely ignored. Cost us so many points.
I worry very much for us on Sunday without McCrorie. What a warrior.

The love I have for McCrorie is unfathomable.
