Liverpool attacking youngster Ryan Kent has signed a new deal with Liverpool and Reds fans are delighted by the news.

The 20-year-old, who has come through the youth ranks at the club, impressed in pre-season with the first team, playing in seven of the eight friendly games.

He has made one senior appearance for Liverpool, in the FA Cup game with Exeter City in January 2016.

The news was announced on Thursday evening on the official Liverpool Twitter account.

On hearing the news, Liverpool fans were quick to congratulate the player and to brag about how good Kent will be in the future.

Many fans were talking about Ryan Kent’s first-team chances this season, but it seems more likely that Kent will be loaned out to get more experience, with the Premier League another step up.

The Birmingham Mail claimed that Jurgen Klopp wanted him to go out to gain more first-team experience and that Villa were the favourites to secure his signature.

The newspaper also claimed that Leeds and Middlesborough were keen on claiming his as their own for the season.

With a new contract signed, it’s likely to become clear fairly quickly where his next steps lie.

But it’s obvious that Klopp and the Liverpool hierarchy rate his chances of making a dent on the senior team in the future.
