Football whispers: Goal-a-game forward most likely player to join Rangers next

By Harvey Byrne

HJK Helsinki forward Alfredo Morelos is the most likely player to join Rangers next, according to a report.

Sky Sports’ transfer section (Tuesday, 1.57pm) regularly plugs its Football Whispers, which claimed that the 20-year-old was the most likely player to become the Ibrox giants’ sixth signing of the summer window.

The Whispers follows on from Morelos being pictured in Scotland on Monday, while the  Express claimed that the young striker had agreed terms on a three-year deal.

The Football Whispers website sorts it’s algorithm by gathering all transfer rumours across the globe and then calculating the likelihood of them happening.

Morelos was given a rating of 4.9 out of five, with five being the highest possible rating signalling that the Football Whispers site believes the deal is all but confirmed.

The goal scoring machine is ahead in the ratings of Mexico international forward Eduardo Herrera, who follows closely with a rating of 4.2, while Graham Dorrans trails behind in third at 3.6.

It has been heavily reported that assitant Jonatan Johansson has recommended Morelos to Rangers due to his scoring form in Johansson’s homeland of Finland.

The forward has managed a goal-a-game for table toppers HJK Helsinki in the current campaign, bagging 12 times in 12 appearances and he will be hoping for a similar return if he does move to Scotland.
