Nottingham Forest winger Gboly Ariyibi has left the club to join Northampton Town on loan until the end of the season, according to official sources.
Forest announced the news of the forward’s departure via their social media Twitter platform and the official website.

Ariyibi, 23, only arrived back at the Reds a matter of days ago following a loan spell at MK Dons, but will now join Jimmy Floyd-Hasselbaink at the Cobblers.
During the forward’s spell with the Dons, the winger made 28 outings and netted seven goals.
The American-born attacker only signed for Forest in January 2017 after signing from Chesterfield and is out of contract in the summer of 2018.
Football Insider verdict:
This seems to be the way forward for so many young players who are brought in, only to be immediately loaned out from the parent club. Ariyibi though, is exactly the sort of player that Aitor Karanka is missing right now and with pace in abundance (something the Forest first team lacks), it begs the questions why has he been allowed to leave? The 6ft winger has been in fine goalscoring form whilst on loan at MK Dons and could have been someone the new manager could have turned to as they attempt to stave off relegation.
In other Nottingham Forest transfer news, Forest are joint-favourites to sign Championship midfielder.
