Gary Lineker delivers instant three-word Newcastle verdict after 1-0 win v Man United

Gary Lineker took to Twitter as soon as the final whistle went in the Newcastle v Man United game, declaring it an “enormous and valiant” victory for the Magpies.
Matt Ritchie won it for his side with a well taken shot from about 12-yards out after a free kick had been awarded for Chris Smalling diving.
Incredibly, it was his first goal of the season but it couldn’t have come at a better time for his side, who were perched perilously above the relegation zone before kick off.
The win boosts them up to 13th in the league with their next game not for a fortnight and it takes a load of pressure off Rafa Benitez and his men.
BBC’s Match of the Day pundit Gary Lineker echoed this in his tweet where the called the Newcastle win an “enormous and valiant victory”

The victory also makes it more certain that man City will beat their neighbours to the Premier League title this year.
They are now 16 points clear at the top after thrashing Leicester yesterday.
