Steven Gerrard has made waves since he took over as Rangers manager, despite the fact that he won’t be officially installed at Ibrox until June 1.

That hasn’t stopped a whole host of big names being linked with Rangers, with some more outlandish than others.

Here are all the 11 players that have been linked with a move to Ibrox since Gerrard has been made manager – graded by Football Insider to give you a score out of 10 as to how likely we see the move as being.

Hold onto your hats, it’s going to be a bumpy ride:

1. Fernando Torres
The former Liverpool and Chelsea striker is a free agent this summer but would surely favour a lucrative move to China or the MLS than taking a huge wage cut to move to Rangers? Even if he is a former teammate of Gerrard.
Football Insider rating: 2/10

2. Brett Pitman
The Portsmouth striker has had a great season in League One but he’s only ever played at Championship level and he didn’t set the world alight then. He would probably jump at the chance but we can’t see this one happening.
Football Insider rating: 3/10

3. Connor Goldson
This one is looking likely, with Rangers blog Four Lads Had a Dream revealing that Rangers are locked in talks with Brighton over the centre-back after having an initial bid rejected.
Football Insider rating: 8/10

4. Dominic Solanke
Has struggled for game time at Liverpool after struggling for game time at Chelsea. Could happen in a loan move if Liverpool want him to develop as a player. The Liverpool link with Gerrard means that we’d expect a couple of Liverpool players to make the move up, but there are others more likely.
Football Insider rating: 5/10

5. Jack Marriott
Scored 33 goals in 56 appearances for Peterborough last season and now they expect to get £6.5million for him. That could price Rangers out of any move.
Football Insider rating: 3/10

6. James McArthur
Was linked with Rangers but any interest seems to have dropped off, with Celtic now seemingly more likely to land him.
Football Insider rating: 1/10

7. Jermain Defoe
There’s no doubt he would be a stunning acquisition in the Premiership but his wages would be a big stumbling block. Would Bournemouth really want to subsidise a 35-year-old to play in Scotland with two years of his contract left?
Football Insider rating: 2/10

8. Lucas Leiva
Another former teammate, Leiva is currently playing for Lazio, but they missed out on Champions League football on the last day of the season.
Football Insider rating: 3/10

9. Martin Skrtel
This deal was looking highly likely, with some outlets in Turkey reporting it as a done deal. It now appears to be completely dead in the water because of the financials.
Football Insider rating: 1/10

10. Oli McBurnie
McBurnie, the Swansea striker, seems to be the one that Gerrard wants at Rangers. He was linked with a loan move in January and a permanent deal is now being mooted with a £4million bid reportedly made.
Football Insider rating: 8/10

11. Reece Burke
The West Ham youngster has been linked in a loan or a permanent deal, but it will all come down to new manager Manuel Pellegrini. There are concerns that he’s not the readymade centre-back Rangers need.
Football Insider rating: 4/10

12. Harry Wilson
Harry Wilson, 21, is a Liverpool winger who impressed on loan with Hull City in the second half of last season. According to the solid Four Lads Had a Dream blog, a deal is extremely close, but unlikely to be completed before pre-season.
Football Insider rating: 9/10

13. Ryan Kent
The Express linked yet another Liverpool youngster with Rangers, and Kent is a 21-year-old winger who spent the second half of last season on loan with Bristol City. The Liverpool connection is close and Klopp has said he wants to help Gerrard out so we would expect a couple of Liverpool youngsters to move, but which ones?
Football Insider rating: 6/10

14. Ben Woodburn
The latest of the Liverpool youngsters to be linked to a loan move, Woodburn can’t be far off the Liverpool first team and has won seven caps for Wales.
Football Insider rating: 6/10
