Hull City have made a bid for Wolves striker Nouha Dicko, Football Insider sources understand.
Hull are in the market for a new striker before the close of the transfer window after losing Abel Hernandez for several months with a serious Achilles injury and they identified Dicko as their top target.
The Tigers have tabled a £3million bid for Dicko and they are waiting to see if Wolves will sell the player to one of their Championship rivals.
Dicko has scored two goals in six games already this season despite starting only two games in the League Cup against Yeovil and Southampton.
The 25-year-old has been used as a substitute by new Wolves boss Nuno Espírito Santo in their first four Championship games, scoring the winner in the 3-2 win at Hull City earlier this month.
Dicko has battled back from a serious knee injury which forced him to miss almost the whole of the 2015-16 campaign after being injured in the 2-1 home win over Charlton in late August.
The France-born striker returned to action last October and he went on to make 32 appearances for Wolves last season, scoring five goals.
Dicko, who joined Wolves in January 2014 from Wigan, finished as top scorer in his first season at the club with 13 goals in 19 games to help the club win promotion from League One and he went on to score 15 goals the following season in the Championship before suffering his knee injury.
