Hutton tells Rangers to accept 'near-£20m' Morelos offer
Alan Hutton has tipped Rangers to play hardball in negotiations to sell Alfredo Morelos this summer.
The former Gers defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, suggested the Light Blues should get as close to £20million for 25-year-old as possible.
As revealed by Football Insider on June 26th, Rangers have placed a £13million price tag on Morelos after an approach from Porto.
Morelos has two years remaining on his Gers contract but discussions over a new deal have not led to a new agreement.
As detailed by this site last summer, Lille offered £17million to sign the Colombian, while AC Milan were also interested.
Hutton admitted Rangers will not get the £20million they were looking for 12 months ago.

However, he insisted the Gers should consider cashing in regardless.
“I can’t see Porto spending £20million-plus for a player from Rangers,” Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge.
“Morelos, we’ve spoken about him so much. He gives you so much on the pitch, the goals and things.
“Definitely, his mentality changed when he was linked to moves away to France or wherever for £20million.
“His attitude seemed to change a little bit. It took him a little bit of time to get back into his stride. You just wonder if it’s now time.
“Yes, they’re not going to get £20million that they were after. Maybe if they can get an offer close to that mark, move him on.
“He’s done a fantastic job for Rangers over the years.”
As revealed back in October, Morelos wanted a new and improved contract at Rangers after last summer’s transfer interest.
He signed his current terms, worth over £30,000-a-week, in March 2019.
