Hutton verdict on Aston Villa accepting £90m Grealish bid as source reveals Man City update
Alan Hutton has tipped Aston Villa to knock back a £90million bid for Jack Grealish from Aston Villa.
The former Villa defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted the fee is “nowhere near enough” to prise the 25-year-old away.
As revealed by Football Insider on Monday (July 12th), City are preparing a £90million offer after months of laying the groundwork for a deal.
The end of the European Championships is expected to trigger movement on some blockbuster deals that could create a chain effect around Europe.
A recruitment source has told this site that chief among those is Man City’s pursuit of Grealish.
A £90million deal would be a record transfer spend for a Premier League club.

However, Hutton suggested Villa would dismiss that figure immediately.
Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “It’s definitely going to ramp up.
“I hate to say it but I just think of some of the players that Villa are targeting and bringing in. Does that mean that they want these guys to play with Jack? Or does it mean Jack’s moving on?
“In my opinion, £90million will not be enough. As soon as that comes in I think Aston Villa will knock it straight back.
“He’s their prized possession, their biggest asset, one of the best that’s every played for them, he’s the captain. Everything goes through him.
“There’s no way that the two owners are going to accept £90million. These are two guys, along with Johan Lange, the manager, that are building something for the future.
“They want Jack to be the core of that. It’s going to take a huge offer for them to prise him away.
“So for me, right now, £90million is huge but nowhere near enough.”
