Insider shares massive Rangers injury boost that fans will love
By Richard Parks
Ross McCrorie is set to get the all-clear to return to training with Rangers on Monday, according to a report.
The Gers fans blog Four Lads Had a Dream, which has emerged in recent months as a very reliable source of news surrounding the club, reported on Thursday afternoon on their Twitter account that the teenage sensation is on course for a return to first team action after a long-term foot injury.
In a post that came after Graeme Murty had said in his media conference that McCrorie, 19, would be assessed at the start of next week, Four Lads Had a Dream explained that the player’s return has now been decided by the coaching staff and medical team.
McCrorie has been sidelined with a foot injury since the Old Firm draw against Celtic on 30 December.
He has missed Rangers’ last six matches, which have yielded five wins during what has been an encouraging run.
But the return of the immensely popular Ibrox academy product will be widely welcomed by supporters who regarded him as one of the team’s best players in the opening half of the season.
McCrorie has made 18 first team appearances in his breakthrough campaign, initially at centre-back and then in a midfield anchorman role.
In other Rangers news, a stunning £9million bid is incoming for a Light Blues sensation as club prepare their next move.
