Insider delivers significant update on West Ham striker search

A West Ham insider has delivered a disheartening message to the Hammers faithful, as it appears the the London based club have no irons in the fire concerning a new striker.
David Moyes drastically needs to add more attacking depth to his injury plagued squad, and with Diafra Sakho repotedly leaving the Olympic Stadium the situation is only worsening.
The West Ham insider posted the news to his Twitter account this evening when asked if the club were nearing a striker signing:

The Hammers have heavily relied on the services of Marko Arnautovic and Manuel Lanzini to score the bulk of their goals, and are in desperate need to add depth and competition to their ranks.
The deadline for English clubs to complete their business is fast approaching, with only three more days to do any transfers.
With Andy Carroll, Arnautovic and Lanzini injured, and Javier Hernandez under-achieving, it could be up to the defence to ensure the Hammers do not slip back into a relegation battle, after seeing a resurgence under Moyes.
One bonus is that West Ham are no longer in any Cup competitions, so will be able to focus on getting their players fit to play in the League matches.
In other West Ham transfer news, the Hammers have been told to double their initial bid to land this pass master.
