Jamie Vardy, Declan Rice react to Hamza Choudhury’s ‘massive’ Sheffield United post
Leicester City midfielder Hamza Choudhury is enjoying a successful loan spell at Sheffield United, which has caught the attention of a number of Premier League stars.
The versatile 27-year-old struggled to get game time for the Foxes in the Premier League during the first half of the season.
As a result, Choudhury left Leicester to join Sheffield United on a loan deal until the end of the season back in the January transfer window.
Having made that move, the midfielder has managed to get more first-team football under his belt with the Blades than he did at the King Power Stadium earlier in the campaign.
Choudhury quickly became a starter under Chris Wilder, and in doing so, has helped the Blades move into a position to win an immediate promotion back to the Premier League.

Blades close in on top-flight return
There was disappointment at Bramall Lane come the end of the regular season, with Leeds United and Burnley beating Sheffield United to automatic promotion.
However, Chris Wilder‘s side do still have a hope of returning to the Premier League via the play-offs, and they are just one game away from doing that.
On Monday (12 May), the Blades welcomed Bristol City to Bramall Lane in the second leg of their Championship play-off semi final.
Sheffield United had claimed a 3-0 win in the first after Rob Dickie’s sending off for their opponents, and the Yorkshire side repeated the trick with an identical result in the second leg.

That ensures the Blades will now compete in the play-off final at Wembley on Saturday 24 May, where they are set to face either Sunderland or Coventry City.
Taking to his Instagram page to reflect on that success, Choudhury wrote: “Alhamdullilah such an enjoyable night! One massive push to go.. see you all at Wembley”.
In response, his Leicester teammates Jamie Vardy and Conor Coady, as well as Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice were among those to show their support by liking that post.
Others such as Aston Villa duo Matty Cash and Youri Tielemans, along with Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin would also do the same to back the Sheffield United loan man.
Sheffield United could face a tricky Hamza Choudhury call
Football Insider Verdict
Of course, Choudhury’s parent club Leicester have just been relegated from the Premier League to the Championship, which will create an interesting dynamic if he helps the Blades go in the other direction.
The Foxes loanee has played an important role during his time at Bramall Lane, and would surely jump at the chance to stay there next season if it allows him to play in the top-flight.
Given the changing financial situations brought about by promotion and relegation, Sheffield United may also be in a position to afford such a deal.
They may though be wary about the fact he struggled to get in a poor Leicester side this season, at a time when they are going to need player capable of helping them avoid another quick relegation.
However if the Foxes are looking to raise funds for a summer rebuild, selling Choudhury could be a shrewd piece of business given how highly he’s rated at Bramall Lane.
