Jermaine Jenas predicts Tottenham end of season finish
By Harvey Byrne
Former midfielder Jermaine Jenas has tipped Tottenham to finish in second place once the season reaches it’s end.
The north London club currently have 12 matches left of their Premier League season and while Liverpool in third have played one game more, Spurs still occupy second.
There is still a big 10 point gap between themselves and league leaders Chelsea and Jenas feels as though they will finish as runners-up to their London rivals.
“They’ve been there long enough,” started Jenas on BT Sports’ periscope page when asked to justify his prediction.
“They’ve shown last season, albeit it was an indifferent season that they’re capable of challenging for a title. I think they’ll finish second.”

As Jenas alluded to, Tottenham did also challenge at the top in the last campaign and for large parts they were considered Leicester’s main rivals for the title.
However, a disastrous run at the end of the season saw them fall down to third in what proved to be a disappointing end to what was supposed to be a successful campaign.
They will now be looking to improve on last season’s result and if they maintain their second placed position it would mark their best finish in since they finished runners-up to Everton in 1963.
The Toffees are Tottenham’s next opponents on Sunday afternoon and the north London club will be aiming to pick up all three points once more at White Hart Lane.
