Former midfielder Jermaine Jenas has predicted Tottenham to kick off their season with a winning start at Newcastle on Sunday afternoon.
The north London club are currently preparing to travel to St. James’ Park where they will take on the Magpies in the 1.30pm kick off.
Last time Spurs travelled to the north east they suffered a humiliating 5-1 defeat against Rafa Benitez’ side despite Newcastle having already been relegated.
However, Jenas, who featured for both Newcastle and Tottenham during his playing days believes Mauricio Pohcettino’s side have enough to achieve a 2-1 victory.
Brighton are in for a shocking start according to Jenas and Brown-Finnis 😮

Tottenham will be looking to pick up all three points against the newly promoted side as they look to better last season’s second placed finish.
A win by three or more goals will see them overtake Huddersfield at the top after their 3-0 win over Crystal Palace.
But, Newcastle, who are aiming for survival in their first season back will also be keen to kick off their league campaign with a surprise result against the north London club.
Both sides have had largely underwhelming summer windows, but the managers will have faith that their eleven can pick up all three points on Sunday afternoon.
In other Tottenham news, Spurs are ready to consider offers for this 23-year-old as Premier League duo circle.
