Jesus Gamez has expressed his delight after making his comeback in Newcastle’s 0-0 draw against Reading on Tuesday evening.
The 31-year-old made his first league appearance for the north east giants since a 1-0 defeat against Blackburn in November as he was named as the starting right-back in the clash against the Berkshire side.
The Spaniard lasted the full 90 minutes, ensuring his side kept a clean sheet at the back, while also making some good attacking runs.
After the match on Wednesday afternoon the experienced player shared to fans on his personal Twitter account that he was happy to comeback and help his teammates.

Gamez joined Newcastle in the summer from Spanish outfit Atletico Madrid on a free transfer.
He has since played just five matches for the club in competitions after high expectations following his transfer from La Liga.
But, with 10 matches of the season left there is still time for the full-back to play a part as Newcastle attempt an instant return to the Premier League.
The Magpies will face seven placed Fulham next on Saturday at St James’ Park, which presents them an opportunity to move six points clear of second placed Brighton.
In other Newcastle news, the Magpies have been dealt a huge blow as Benitez confirms 23-year-old is injured.
