Junior Firpo sends two-word message to Leeds fans as they call for ‘new contract’
Junior Firpo has just a few months left on his Leeds contract but continues to play a vital role under Daniel Farke this season.
Leeds are gearing up for a clash against Portsmouth on Sunday (9 March) as they look to respond after their recent draw with West Brom in the Championship.
Despite the result, Firpo had an outstanding performance—something that has become a recurring theme for the 28-year-old.
Leeds fans have been calling for the club to offer Firpo a new contract, with the defender currently set to become a free agent in the summer.
Following another strong run of performances this month, Firpo had a message for supporters after celebrating a personal achievement.

Firpo reshared Leeds United’s official post on Instagram, announcing that he had been named the club’s Player of the Month for February.
The full-back kept his caption simple on his Instagram story, writing “Thank you” alongside a selection of white, yellow and blue emojis representing Leeds’ colours.

The announcement post received plenty of engagement, with teammates Joe Rodon and Jayden Bogle among those who liked it.
Firpo’s form has been outstanding, with goals in each of his last two matches. Over the course of the season, he has delivered three goals and eight assists, further proving his value to the team.

Farke faces pressure as Leeds fight for Premier League return
Leeds’ push for promotion remains finely balanced, and some have speculated that Daniel Farke’s job could be under threat if the club fails to secure a return to the Premier League.
With 76 points and 72 goals scored this season, Leeds sit at the top of the Championship. However, the race remains tight, with Sheffield just three points behind and Burnley on 71 points—both coming off victories in their last matches.
Despite Firpo’s impressive performances, Leeds must shift focus and get back to winning ways against Portsmouth to maintain their lead, with promotion rivals closing in.
