Former Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas has said that Harry Kane might have to consider leaving Tottenham if he wants to win trophies.
It’s the age-old debate that current manager Mauricio Pochettino must be sick of hearing by now but it’s unusual in this instance coming from AVB.
His stint at Tottenham wasn’t the most successful and he admitted himself that he failed Harry Kane while he was at the club.

However, in the article in the Independent, Villas-Boas said that Kane might give it another couple of years at Tottenham before deciding to move on.
“I think for Harry, one or two more years at Spurs wouldn’t be bad and then see how the club develops,” Villas-Boas said.
“With the new stadium coming through I also think that Spurs should have that margin from him.”
He also said that he was surprised at the rise of Kane after sending him out on a series of loans while he was at Tottenham.
Some Tottenham fans took his comments on board and said they were quite measured, but other Spurs fans clearly haven’t forgiven him from his stint as manager, labelling him a “fraud”.
Here are the best reactions from Tottenham fans to the Villas-Boas comments:
The quotes actually aren't that bad. He says Harry should give it a couple of years and then see how things develop. Think that is actually fair enough.

It's funny some people think Harry should leave to win trophies. How about the best players staying to try and win trophies for the club. That's more of an achievement. Spurs have cone a long way in 4)5 years. Players should want to create history, change the future

Very honest by AVB there admitting he did f all for Kane as a coach!
On the headline – how amazing would it be for a player to actually help transform a club and win multiple trophies with them? Otherwise do we just accept the status quo forever more?

It's easy to say a player should go to one of the big boys to win everything in the game.
You do that and what's the point in trying to win these competitions in the 1st place?
You build a team & challenge & try & get amongst these teams.
