Loris Karius has delivered a message to Liverpool fans after his side’s thrilling 4-3 win over Man City in the Premier League on Sunday, saying “thank you for your support”.
Karius was a surprise inclusion in the starting XI after regular number one Simon Mignolet was dropped.
His game didn’t start off too well after he made an error to gift Man City an equaliser when he was beaten on his near post.
Gary Neville, commentating for Sky Sports, said he should have saved it and fans swarmed on Twitter to criticise the keeper.
However, after the match Krius took to twitter himself, ignoring his critics and delivering his verdict on the fantastic game.
He said it was an “amazing team performance”, before thanking the fans for their support and helping to create what he called an “unreal atmosphere”.

The win moves Liverpool up to third place in the table ahead of Chelsea on goal difference and three points clear of Tottenham in fifth.
It was the first time Man City had been beaten all season, although the Liverpool fans had to endure a nervy final five minutes after a late rally from Man City.
